The Chief Judge of the Federal High Court of Nigeria, Hon. Justice Adamu Abdu-Kafarati, is due for retirement. He became a Judge of the Federal High Court on October 31, 1991.

The Chief Judge of the Federal High Court has transferred the trial of the former Governor of Ekiti State, Ayodele Fayose, charged with alleged N6.9 billion fraud, to a new judge.
The EFCC made the request in a letter dated July 31 and addressed to the Chief Judge of the Federal High Court, Justice Adamu Abdu-Kafarati.
