No fewer than 150,000 athletes both locally and internationally are expected to participate in the 4th edition of Access Bank Lagos City Marathon, Lagos State Governor, Akinwunmi Ambode, said on Monday.
Davidson gave the commendation at a breakfast meeting on Monday with the Senior Special Assistant to Governor Akinwunmi Ambode on Sports, Anthony Adeyinka Adeboye.

Ojeleye told the News Agency of Nigeria at the finishing point of the marathon at Eko Atlantic City in Lagos that doing so would attract more wheelchair runners to the event.
He said: “I am tired of giving the major prize money to athletes from other countries and because of this reason; Lagos State will commit more coaches and athletes to this course.
Olopade said that immediately after the race, the marathon office would apply for the race which, within two years, attained the rank of a Bronze-label race.
The News Agency of Nigeria reports that the third edition of the 42 kilimetre race is scheduled for February 10.
This has made thousands of runners double their preparations for the 10km race of the next edition of the Marathon slated for February 10, 2018.
The IAAF accreditation, which was announced last week ahead of the third edition of the marathon in February 2018, was the outcome of a successful measurement and certification of the marathon course in line with the Federation’s technical standards.
