The heavy rain of naira continued to shower on members of the victorious Super Eagles team to the 2013 African Cup of nations on Friday as the Lagos State Governor, Babatunde Raji Fashola, doled out N66 million to the team.
At a reception organized at the Alausa office of the governor, Fashola commended the team for bringing honour to the country again.
Coach Stephen Keshi got the highest cut of N2.5 million while his assistants received N2 million each for their contribution to the success story of the team.
Team captain, Joseph Yobo, was given N1 million while other players also received N1 million.
Fashola gave the team N500,000 for each of the 11 goals scored by the team during the South African 2013.
Unlike the reward from President Goodluck Jonathan, Governor Fashola extended his own to the back room staff with N15 million cash.
Members of the Nigeria Football Supporters Club were also rewarded with N4.5 million.
