The Sultan of Sokoto, Alhaji Muhammad Sa’ad Abubakar III, has told the country’s leaders that Nigerians are in a hurry to see positive changes that will renew their hopes.
The President General of the Nigerian Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs said this on Saturday in Lafia, Nasarawa State.
Abubakar, who is the National Chairman of Traditional Rulers Council of Nigeria, gave the charge during the fifth anniversary of the 17th Emir of Lafia, Justice Sidi Bage-Mohammed (retd).
He said, “We know that our leaders are trying, but the people are in a hurry to see positive changes that will renew their hopes for a better life.”
He pointed out that the presence of traditional rulers across the country in Nasarawa State was a demonstration of unity and called on other Nigerians to follow suit.
