Sudan’s pitch watterlogged, as Eagles can’t train

The Super Eagles failed to observe their final training session on Friday at the Khartoum International Stadium, venue of the Nations Cup qualifier against Sudan.
The stadium pitch, according to Super Eagles’ media officer, Ben Alaiya, was waterlogged at the time the Nigerian side showed up to loosen up and also have a feel of the artificial turf.
Alaiya believes the waterlogged pitch at the Khartoum International Stadium was a conscious effort to prevent the Super Eagles from their mandatory final session at the stadium.
He also informed that officials of the Nigeria Football Federation in Khartoum have protested to CAF over the development.
The team however opted for light warm up late in the day at the FIFA Technical Centre also in Khartoum.
