Senate, again, adjourns for one month

The Senate, in a surprise move, adjourned again for one month.

The adjournment was necessitated by the crisis occasioned by the nomination of principal officers of the Senate.

There was crisis in the Senate on Thursday after the President of the Senate, Dr. Bukola Saraki, announced the names of the principal officers.

While Mohammed Ndume was announced as the Senate Leader, Ibn Na’Allah as Deputy leader, Olusola Adeyeye as Senate Chief Whip and Francis Alimkanah emerged as the Deputy Senate whip.
