Scores feared dead, houses burnt as crisis erupts in Bauchi

Many people have been reportedly feared dead and several houses were set ablaze in fresh violence that erupted in the Sakai and Kagadama areas of Bauchi Metropolis Saturday.

It was gathered that the violence erupted over the rivalry between youths of angular Taya and Taiwan which extended to other parts of the area.

Reports however confirmed that security operatives, comprising tactical teams, Mobile Police Force, Rapid Response Squad (RRS), and Quick intervention Unit (QIU) of the Bauchi Police Command have responded to the distress calls by residents.
