Saudi Arabian club Al-Shabab have agreed to sign former Manchester United loanee Odion Ighalo from Shanghai Shenhua.
The Nigerian striker has been linked with moves to Dubai, the Premier League and the MLS but a switch to the Middle East is now close to being completed after the two sides agreed to a deal.
The move is subject to him passing a medical after Ighalo was given permission to talk with the Saudi Arabian club.
Ighalo had been cooling off in Dubai, United Arab Emirates following his departure from Manchester United last week but was expected to jet off to Riyadh to complete the formalities of his transfer to Al-Shabab, having agreed personal terms with the six-time Pro League champions.
The 31-year-old will put pen to paper on a two-and-a-half-year deal if he passes his medical, and could be unveiled by his new employer before February 4.
The transfer window in Saudi Arabia runs until February 7.
