In its bid to ensure that Yoruba youths reclaim their place of pride in the comity of ethnic youths in the country, the Yoruba Youth Council will hold a Town Hall meeting on restructuring.
This was contained in a release in Ibadan, signed by the Oyo State Director of Media and Publicity of the YYC, Lekan Shobo Shobowale, on behalf of the National President, Comrade Eric Oluwole.
The meeting is to make the position of Yoruba youths known on the ongoing debate on restructuring.
A renowned legal practitioner, Opeyemi Agbaje is the lead speaker of the meeting, with the theme: “Nigeria Pre and Post Independence: The critical paradigm of Yoruba Youth as motivator of regional restructuring.”
Also, a United Nations youth ambassador, Hon. Dayo Israel, will also be at the event to encourage Yoruba youths on the need for effective roles in the ongoing discourse.
The event, scheduled to hold at House of Chiefs, Parliament Building, Secretariat, Ibadan on December 19, 2017, will have in attendance His imperial Majesty, Oba Lamidi Olayiwola Adeyemi 111, the Alaafin of Oyo, as the royal father of the day.
The Oyo State Governor, Senator Abiola Ajimobi, will be the chief host, while Oluwole will be the Host.
Also, the Distinguished Guest of Honours expected at the event include Prof. Adeyemi Aderibigbe; Dr. Frederick Fasehun; the newly appointed Aare onakankanfo of Yorubaland, Otunba Gani Adams; Chief Tokunbo Awolowo Dosunmu; and Dr. Kunle Olajide among other Yoruba leaders.
The release called on all Yoruba youths to come out and participate in the town hall meeting.
