The families of Adebamiwa and Olamiti has announced the passing on to glory of their grandmother, mother, and sister – Chief Christie Oluwakaikun Adebamiwa née Olamiti on Friday 18 October 2024 .
She was 83 years old
She gave up the ghost in Ibadan after a prolonged ailment. She was the wife of the late Venerable Joshua Adediran Adebamiwa, who died early this year-26th February.
The deceased was a consumate educator who served as a principal in many secondary schools in Ile-Ife and Oshogbo, Osun State .
These include Ooni Girls High School, Ife Girls High School, Ife City College, all in Ile- Ife, Baptist Girls High School, Osogbo. Fakunle Comprehensive High School, Osogbo and Iwo Grammar School.
After her retirement, she went into full-time church activities and became a lay reader at St Peters Anglican Church, Ede, Osun State. She was also the Iya-ijo of the church.

She had six children and many grandchildren.
One of her younger brothers is Sir Folu Olamiti, a publisher, media consultant, and director of media in the Primate office of the Church of Nigeria Anglican Communion.
Funeral arrangements will be announced later by the family.
May her gentle soul rest in perfect peace.
