Prolific author, Mike Effa, adds new book

Mike Effa had started year 2016 with the news of the publishing of his third book: “The Mysterious Liver.”
Effa, one of Nigeria’s leading ethno-fiction novelists and prolific author, will be launching the book published by Copyhouse, London in the early days of March 2016.
Effa is a noted author in Nigeria.
This is particularly in the emerging scene of literary ethno-fiction.
This follows his feat with his previous books: “The Prisoner of Afrika and The Man without a Back Bone.”
The books are worthy examples of this genre.
“The Mysterious Liver” is a strong slice of ethno-fiction – infused with the vibrancy of the emerging Nigerian fiction scene and delivered in the assured nuanced tones of one of that scene’s primary voices.
It boasts everything from human tragedy to sociological satire, and cloaks itself throughout in a visceral suspense/horror veneer but has much, much more to say than just splattering of gore.
It is a quirky masterpiece and a worthy introduction to one of the most dynamic emerging English-language literary markets in Africa.
Effa was born in Cross River State, Nigeria.
After a brief stint in the newspaper business, he proceeded to the University of Calabar where he obtained a Bachelors Degree in Adult Education and Political Science before moving on to do his mandatory youth service in Kano with the Ado Bayero University.
He subsequently worked with Nigeria Conscience Media Limited as Deputy Editor and attended the National Open University of Nigeria where he obtained an M.Ed in Educational Administration and Planning.
Effa is currently Assistant Chief Admin Officer with the Nigerian Natural Medicine Development Agency, Lagos.
He lives in Lagos with his wife and son, Asher, and is available for interview through prior arrangement with Copyhouse Press.
