The Ogun State Police Command, on Wednesday arrested a 21-year-old individual, Akanni Joshua Oguntolu, for alleged involvement in cult-related activities in the Imala area of the state.
The Command’s Public Relations Officer, Omolola Odutola, confirmed the arrest in a statement made available to The Eagle Online on Thursday.
According to her, the suspect was apprehended and brought to the Imala Police Division by members of the state-owned community security operatives called the So-Safe Corps.

Odutola said detectives from the Division, upon receipt of report, conducted a search on the suspect and recovered the following items; a cutlass, red axe and assorted charms.
The police spokesperson hinted that a preliminary investigation had been initiated for possible arrest of other members of the syndicate.
Odutola, a Superintendent of Police, added that the case will be forwarded to the State Criminal Investigation Department, Abeokuta, for further investigations.
