Operatives of the Ekiti State Police Command have arrested four men who allegedly robbed a man of his Suzuki minibus and phone in Aramoko Ekiti area of the state.
The Command’s Commissioner, Moronkeji Adesina, confirmed this development in a statement issued on Tuesday.
In the statement endorsed by the spokesman of the Command, Sunday Abutu, Adesina identified the suspects as Kunle, 31; Waheed, 20; Taiwo, 19; and Adele Samuel 23.
Adesina said the suspects were trailed to Langbasa, Lagos State, where they were arrested on December 14 by the Anti-Vehicle Theft Section of the Ekiti State Police Command.
He said: “During investigation, the Itel phone taken away was recovered while effort is ongoing to arrest other members of the syndicate and recover the mini-bus hijacked from the victim.
“The arrested suspects will be arraigned as soon as investigation is concluded.”
