The Lagos State Police Command has detained a man for allegedly killing a taxi driver and escaping with his car.
The command’s spokesman and a Superintendent of Police, Benjamin Hundeyin, confirmed this to the News Agency of Nigeria on Monday.
Hundeyin said that the incident happened on October 12.

According to him, the suspect and his fleeing accomplice boarded a taxi to an undisclosed destination.
“They killed the 37-year-old driver, dumped his body by the roadside at Alausa in Ikeja area of Lagos State and made away with the vehicle,” he said.
Hundeyin gave the assurance that police operatives were trailing the fleeing suspect.
