Nigeria’s First Lady, Dame Patience Jonathan, has returned to Nigeria after about one week stay in Germany.
Jonathan returned to Nigeria on Saturday afternoon.
She was received at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja by several prominent Nigerians.
The delegation that received the First Lady was led by the wife of Vice President Namadi Sambo, Hajiya Amina Sambo.
Over 100 buses were said to be in the convoy that went to receive Jonathan at the airport.
There was controversy over the week long stay of the First Lady in Germany.
While several authoritative sources said she went back to the hospital in Germany for medical treatment, her media aide, Ayo Oshinlu, said the First Lady was in Germany to take care of her mother.
