No fewer than 32 persons have been confirmed killed in a fresh bomb blast in Yola, Adamawa State.
The explosion occurred on Tuesday at about 8:20pm.
This was confirmed by the Adamawa State Coordinator of the National Emergency Management Agency, Sa’ad Bello.
Bello said: “So far, we’ve recorded about 32 dead and about 80 injured.”
The Red Cross and the police put the figure at 31 dead and 72 injured.
An official of the Red Cross, Aliyu Maikano, said the area affected was a lorry park, which also has a livestock market, an open-air restaurant and a mosque.
Maikano added: “Victims could be lying all over the place.”
