The Appeal Court sitting in Akure, the Ondo state capital, has struck out Senator Ademola Adeleke’s faction of opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) against the leadership of Hon. Olasoji Adagunodo’s faction of the party.
Recall that an Osun State High Court sitting in Ijebu-jesa had on March 5 recognised officers of the PDP elected in 215 wards under the immediate past State’s Chairman of the party as those eligible to participate in next week’s governorship primary of the party.
The primary held on Tuesday, March 8, 2022.
However, in an appeal filed by the faction loyal to Senator Adeleke, the Court of Appeal in Akure Friday struck out request for stay of execution on the judgement of Osun State High Court on the matter.
The court held that the EXCO produced at the ward congress conducted under the leadership of Adagunodo.
