Najeem Salaam, the Speaker of Osun House of Assembly, on Wednesday urged leaders and members of the ruling All Progressives Congress to work for the success of the party in the September 22 governorship election.
Salaam made the call while addressing some stakeholders of the party in Osogbo.
The spokesman of the Speaker, Goke Butika, quoted him as saying that only continuity in governance as guaranteed by the candidature of Gboyega Oyetola, the flagbearer of the APC, could sustain the achievements of the Rauf Aregbesola administration.
He said party members must close ranks and evolve means to interface with the electorate in a manner that would assure all of inclusiveness.
Salaam said managing conflicts in such a way that they would not be blown out of proportion was key to the success of any party.
He called on members of the APC to use the delivery of good governance and provision of critical infrastructure undertaken by the party in the last eight years to interact with voters.
Salaam also appealed to aggrieved party members to work diligently for the success of the party.
