The Acting President, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo, has approved the removal and replacement of Ekpo Nta as the Chairman of the Independent Corrupt Practices and other related offenses Commission.
This was contained in a statement by the Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation.
In the statement, Nta was sent to the National Salaries, Incomes and Wages Commission as a full time Commissioner.
The statement named Prof. Bolaji Owasanoye as the Chairman of the ICPC.
It also gave names of members of the Board.
They are Dr. Grace N. Chinda, Okolo M. Titus, Obiora Igwedebia, Olubukola Balogun, Group Captain Sam Ewang (retd) and Justice Adamu Bello.
Other members are Hannatu Mohammed, Abdullahi Maikano Saidu, Dr. Sa’ad Alanamu, Yahaya Umar Dauda, Khamis Ahmed Mailantarki and Maimuna Aliyu.
The Secretary of the Commission will be Prof. Musa Usman Abubakar.
The statement said while the appointment of the Chairman is for five years, while the tenure for all the members is four years.
The appointments are said to be subject to Senate confirmation.
Other full time members of the National Salaries, Incomes and Wages Commission apart from Nta are Alhaji Dauda Yahaya and Hon. Garba Musa Gulma.
The part time Commissioners named in the statement are Victoria Nnenna Chukwuani, Geoffery Yeilong, Prof. Ropo Shekoni and Ahmed Mahmud Gumel.
Also named as members are the Permanent Secretary, (Establishment) OHCSF; Permanent Secretary, Federal Ministry of Labour and Productivity, Comrade Isa Aremu of the Nigeria Labour Congress and Chuma Nwankwo of the National Employers Consultative Assembly.
The new appointments are said to be for a period of five years.
The Chairman of the Commission is High Chief Richard Egbule, while E. A. Thompson is the Secretary.
Both were appointed in August 2014.
For the Investment and Security Tribunal, Siaka Isaiah Idoko is the Chairman/CEO, while the full time members are Jude I. Udunni, Nosa Osemwengie, Abubakar A. Ahmad and Albert L. Otesile.
The part time members are Emeka Madubuike, Kasumi Garba Kurfi, Edward O. Ajayi, Onyemaechi E. M. Elujekor and Mamman Bukar Zargana.
Also named on Tuesday was the Director General of the Infrastructure Concession Regulatory Commission.
He is Engr. Chidi K. C. Izuwah.
This appointment is also subject to Senate confirmation.
In another development, Osinbajo, with powers conferred on the President by Recovery of Public Property (Special Provisions) Act Cap R4, Laws of the Federation of Nigeria 2004, has approved the setting up of a Special Presidential Investigation Panel for the Recovery of Public Property.
The Chairman of the panel is Chief Okoi Obona-Obla, the Special Assistant to the President on Prosecution.
Akingbolahan Adeniran is the Secretary to the Panel.
