The Chairman of the ICPC, Prof. Bolaji Owasanoye, while briefing journalists in Abuja, said the Commission will ensure the full implementation of the Manual, which provides step-by-step instructions compiled to help port users carry out routine operations in a simplified format.

The Chairman of ICPC, Prof. Bolaji Owasanoye (SAN), made this known while presenting the summary of the agency’s assets recovery, seizures and forfeitures when members of the Senate Committee on Anti-Corruption and Financial Crimes visited its headquarters in Abuja on oversight

The Spokesperson of the ICPC, Azuka Ogogua, said the money was fraudulently kept in an interest yielding bank account by three respondents, including the Chief Registrar and the Deputy Registrar of the Federal High Court in Port Harcourt.

Owasanoye made this known in his presentation to the Senate Committee on Banking, Insurance and Other Financial Institutions during its hearing on the Central Bank of Nigeria’s decision to stop financial institutions from transacting in cryptocurrencies and matters arising therefrom.

The overall objective of a system review is reform of the systems and procedures of public agencies with a view to identifying and eliminating, preventing, blocking and obstructing opportunities for corruption.

Asuquo, an Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission Investigator, made this known in a Federal High Court, while being cross-examined by Ade Adedeji (SAN), counsel to the 1st, 5th and 6th defendants in the money laundering trial.

The Executive Vice Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of NCC, Prof. Umar Danbatta, gave the commitment at the inauguration of NCC’s Anti-Corruption and Transparency Unit by the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission on December 10, 2020 in Abuja.
