Super Falcons’striker, Asisat Oshoala, produced an inspirational display as she helped Liverpool Ladies to gain priceless 3-1 win over Arsenal at Boreham Wood on Sunday.
The Nigerian was the main stay in the Liverpool Ladies squad as she launched several attacking forays at the Gunners vital area.
Matt Beard’s charges made a great start when Williams fired a spectacular opener after just nine minutes.
Williams then provided an assist when her corner was glanced into the net by Becky Easton to make it 2-0.
Liverpool Ladies were playing some fantastic football at this point and with Asisat Oshoala a real threat, they went close to extending their two goal lead.
The Gunners came back into the game when Natalia scored with a superb lob, but Oshoala made sure of the victory with a brilliant late finish to seal a fantastic victory.
Oshoala was withdrawn for Smorgard in the 89th minute of the tie.
