Truth be told, oral sex is pleasurable, not only for men but also for women. Yet, some people cringe at the mention of it.
I know most men love it, specifically when they are on the receiving end. There are a few men who derive so much pleasure from giving, though.
The most common issue some people have with oral sex is that it is viewed as “dirty”, being that our sex organs are also used to pass waste out of our bodies. So the idea of putting the mouth on those organs may seem pretty disgusting for some people. Well, this is something a little extra hygiene can sort, after you have disabused your mind of all biases.
Some schools of thought say that oral sex is a sin. I haven’t come across that in the Bible though. I believe that whatever two consenting adults engage in and derive pleasure from, is their business.
There are those men who feel that it is their duty to receive and not to give. I think that is rather selfish. If you are willing to receive, then you should be able to give. The same way a man views a woman’s genitals is the same way a woman views a man’s genitals.
There is also the valid reason of infection, which is why you shouldn’t give oral sex to just anyone. It is just as easy for a woman to get infected being on the receiving end as it is for a man.
Condoms are safe for oral sex as well. It protects both partners. A dental dam also protects against infection and STIs.
For newbies and even old-timers looking to rekindle their flame, here are a few tips to make oral sex fun and sexually satisfying for both partners:
- Talk about it: Let me reiterate that communication is very important in sex. Talking about it demystifies the act and makes it easier to make suggestions and guide your partner on how best to please you.
- Hygiene is key: Odour and bad hygiene are deal-breakers. It is important to take the time to take care of your body. Shave where necessary, brush your teeth, smell good. A lot of people shy away from oral sex because they are unsure of the other person’s personal hygiene.
- Be creative: When you get down there, be creative with your tongue and mouth. Don’t be monotonous with your actions. Kiss, suck, lick, experiment with different ideas and even toys. For those who are not keen on the natural smell of the genitals…you can apply chocolates or ice cream on your partner and lick it off…this also adds to the fun and excitement.
-
Don’t take your partner for granted: Discuss ejaculation before you start. This is especially from a woman to a man. If you need him to warn you before he ejaculates so you can be prepared, then tell him that. If you are comfortable for him to ejaculate in your mouth, let him know that too.
-
Don’t worry about cumming: The truth is that not all sexual acts must end or should end in climax. Don’t let that kill the mood.
Sometimes it is just as pleasurable to just feel the exciting sensations without focusing on the goal! -
Don’t be silent: Make some sounds to show how much you are enjoying what you are giving and receiving.
Lastly, oral sex can be just as much fun for the giver as it is for the receiver if you get into it. In other words, drop your inhibitions at the door, and don’t be afraid to get messy.
Go ahead, have some oral pleasure this weekend. You will be glad you did.
