A hit-and-run driver has killed a 22-year-old lady, Elizabeth James, in Sagamu area of Ogun State along the Benin-Sagamu Expressway, The Eagle Online has learnt.
According to impeccable sources, the accident occurred around 9:40am near Dalof Filling Station, Sagamu on Sunday.
The driver of the vehicle, whose licence plate could not be taken, was said to have run into James and a male pedestrian while driving from the direction of Ijebu-Ode towards Sagamu.
While the male pedestrian survived, James died while receiving treatment in the hospital, The Eagle Online was told.
Her remains have been deposited in a mortuary.

The spokesperson of the Ogun State Police Command and a Superintendent of Police, Omolola Odutola, confirmed the development to The Eagle Online.
Odutola said police operatives have visited the scene of the accident and “are currently investigating.
“Further updates will be provided.”
