A Service of Songs was held for late ace Nigeria Television Authority “Queen of roving” broadcaster, Sele Eradiri, in Lagos on Thursday.
The Service of Songs saw staff of the Nigeria Television Authority, friends and relatives gather at the NTA headquarters, Ahmadu Bello Way, Victoria Island to pay tribute to one of African’s brightest, passionate and committed broadcaster.
Aunty Sele, as she was fondly called, was “alive” at the wake as colleagues, friends and relatives wore blue and black polo T-shirts with the inscription “Sele Lives On.”
Eradiri’s children could not hide their grief over her sudden demise.
Tears and encomiums flowed freely for Princess Eradiri, who died after a brief illness, suspected to be cancer, in India on May 29.
Amongst those who mourned Eradiri and paid tributes to her were Frank Olisa, Honorable Abike Dabiri Erewa, Moji Makanjuola and Otunba Segun.
Eradiri, 57, who hailed from the royal family of Eradiri in Agundam Ekpetiama in Bayelsa State, will be buried at the Ikoyi Cemetery on Friday (today) after a lying-in-state at the MIC Lounge in Lagos.
Eradiri, until her death, was the Assistant Director of News, NTA Lagos Network Centre.
