League leaders, Rangers International FC, said they would unleash a crack squad on Giwa FC when the two sides meet at the Jos Township Stadium in a Nigerian Professional Football League Week 12 encounter.
Rangers Director of Media, Foster Chime, told the News Agency of Nigeria on Friday in Enugu that the team had already departed for Jos for the must-win match.
Chime said a win for the coal city side on Sunday would make them consolidate their lead in the NPFL table.
Rangers currently lead the table with 21 points from 11 matches.
Chime said a road victory for the team would end the hot chase by FC Ifeanyi Ubah and MFM FC
He also said Rangers’ crack squad had vowed to sustain the winning streak they had been posting for the past three weeks.
He said: “The victory against Ifeanyi Uba FC last weekend has given the players more confidence to beat Giwa FC and maintain their leadership at the league summit.
“The management of the team said the financial motivation by Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi, including that of the club’s management, is the tonic and motivation that has been propelling the team to success.”
Rangers General Manager, Paul Chibuzor, said the board had introduced measures aimed at giving players and officials some sense of belonging and opportunities to actualise their goals in the team.
Chibuzor said: “The board recently introduced best players’ award and other financial benefits that will improve the teams’ welfare and morale.
“The board has also entered into partnership arrangements towards improving the team`s internally generated revenue.”
