NNPCL stations raise price of petrol in Lagos, Abuja

Stations run by the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited have raised their prices of petrol in Lagos State and the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.

The hike in price was noticed on Tuesday at the petrol stations run by the national oil firm by buyers who made this known on social media.

While the stones directly run by NNPCL in Lagos State moved its price from N998 to N1,025, those in Abuja went from N1,030 to N1,060.

However, the stations operated by private franchise owners under the NNPCL were selling for a much higher price.

Some of them had been selling higher than the official price before the ones run directly by NNPCL did the price adjustment on Tuesday.
