The Nigerian Meteorological Agency has predicted cloudy weather conditions over the central states of the country on Sunday.
The NiMet’s Weather Outlook issued by its Central Forecast Office on Saturday in Abuja said that cloudy morning was expected over Abuja, Kaduna and Lafia axis.
It added that localised thunderstorms would prevail over the high grounds of Abuja, Jalingo, Ibi, Lafia, Bauchi and Jos in the afternoon and evening hours and maximum temperatures of 27 to 34 degree Celsius.
The Agency predicted that the southern states would experience localised rains over the inland of the South-West and coast of Lagos in the morning hours.
It also predicted afternoon localised rains over Lagos, Delta, Calabar, PortHarcourt, Osogbo, Ilorin, Ogoja, Ibadan, Enugu, Yenegua, Warri and Benin with maximum temperatures of 31 to 33 degrees Celsius.
NiMet predicted cloudy conditions over northern states of Sokoto, Gusau and Yelwa and hazy conditions over Maiduguri, Nguru, Dutse and Kano with maximum temperatures of 32 to 39 degrees Celsius.
According to the prediction, dust plume observed around southern Chad Republic may affect extreme north eastern part with prospects of weather activities over the central and southern cities in the next 24 hours.
