Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, on Wednesday stated that Nigeria is on Auto pilot with no one in charge, adding that armed robbery, kidnappings and human trafficking continue to ravage every nooks and crannies of the country.
Atiku who said this while making formal declaration to contest the 2015 presidential election under the All Progressives Congress (APC) platform, promised to run corruption-free government if given the chance.
The event was held at the Shehu Musa Yar’Adua Centre in Abuja and attended by APC chieftains from across the country.

“Resentment, disillusionment and hopelessness are the emotions on which insecurity and disharmony thrives. Our country is more divided today that at any other time since the civil war. There is a disturbing rise in ethnic nationalism and religious bigotry.
“This is promoting social tension and mutual distrust among the people of Nigeria. All over the country, there are daily breaches of security resulting in loss of lives and properties.
