The Niger State Government has assured the incoming All Progressives Congress government of Alhaji Abubakar Sani Bello of a smooth handover come May 29 even as the government has released the presidential suites to the Governor-elect for his use.
Head of the 27-man Transition Implementation Committee of the administration and Secretary to the State Government, Alhaji Idris Ndako Kpaki, who gave the assurance of the smooth handover, also told newsmen in Minna on Thursday that the administration has also “provided some other logistics to the governor elect”.
Alhaji Kpaki disclosed that the official residence of the governor within the premises of the Government House is also undergoing renovation and will be completed before the handover date.
He said Heads of Ministries and Departments other government agencies have been directed to complete their handover notes and submit to the TIC.
The Chairman said further that the inaugural meeting of the TIC took place last week Thursday, adding that on the completion of the assignment, the committee will meet with a similar panel already set up by Bello.
Promising that the government does not have any problem with its records, Kpaki said this is because the administration had been keeping up to date records of all its activities, including income and expenditure accounts.
