The applicants, in a suit filed at High Court 4, dated May 12, 2015 and filed May 25, 2015, by their counsel, Barrister Adegoke Omoloja of Cosmic Chambers Abuja, prayed the court for a declaration that the seizure and subsequent sale of their motorcycles by Aliyu through his Commissioner of Works was illegal, null and void and a constituted violation of their fundamental human rights as enshrined in the constitution

”Our commitment to Nigeria is sacrosanct, irrespective of the state of the economy; hence we do not need any cheeky advice from Governors Aliyu and Lamido. We are not making any excuses, but we will let Nigerians and indeed the world know how much the economy has been wrecked and the role of anyone in bringing the economy to its knees,” it said

According to the statement: “As part of measures to ensure smooth transition and proper handing-over to the new government in Niger State, the Chief Servant Dr Aliyu has approved the dissolution of State Boards and termination of Political appointments with effect from May 1, 2015

Head of the 27-man Transition Implementation Committee of the administration and Secretary to the State Government, Alhaji Idris Ndako Kpaki, who gave the assurance of the smooth handover, also told newsmen in Minna on Thursday that the administration has also “provided some other logistics to the governor elect”

Aliyu also said the bank, which has long been given legal backing by the Supreme Court, but the legal pronouncement was never implemented, will also contribute to the establishment of private schools and assist indigent students to get financial assistance to get education up to any level they so wish
