The Movement for the Survival of Ogoni People has expressed shock over the death of Ken Saro-Wiwa Jr., the son of late environmentalist, Ken Saro-Wiwa.
The Publicity Secretary of MOSOP, Felago Nsuke, said on Wednesday that the movement “is deeply pained by this tragic incident, the loss of our dear Ken Jr. – son of our celebrated hero, Ken Saro-Wiwa”.
Nsuke said: “We express our deepest condolences to the family of Wiwa in particular and the Ogoni nation in general.”
Ken Jr., 47 died in London after suffering stroke, according to his family.
His late father Ken was executed by late Head of State, General Sani Abacha, for leading protest against environmental degradation of Ogoniland caused by multinational oil companies.
