Middlesbrough manager, Aitor Karanka, has stated his desire to bring Chelsea’s Kenneth Omeruo back to the Riverside.
Omeruo played 14 times for Boro last season, whilst on loan from the Stamford Bridge outfit, for the second half of the season.
Karanka told the club’s official website: “I like him because he’s a very good guy and very good player, he played those games (for Boro last season) in a very good way.”
Omeruo featured in all Super Eagles games in Brazil 2014 World Cup before they were eliminated from the competition.
Karanka added: “I like Kenneth not because of what he has done at the World Cup.
“I was in contact with him during the World Cup. He wants to join us, Chelsea want to send us the player on loan and we would like to have him back with us again.”
