Conor McGregor has been warned he faces being killed when he takes on Floyd Mayweather.
McGregor and Mayweather go head-to-head in Las Vegas on August 26.
McGregor has been hard at work at the UFC’s newly-opened state-of-the-art Performance Institute in Vegas as he prepares to take on undefeated Mayweather at boxing.
But former heavyweight champion Tyson thinks the Irishman is going to be taught a lesson by Mayweather.
He said: “McGregor is going to get killed in boxing.
“I got mad because I thought they were going to use MMA rules against boxing because that’s what it’s all about, ‘can the boxer beat the MMA guy?’.”
Tyson, who wrongly called McGregor ‘McConor’, went on to criticise the lightweight UFC champ for even taking on a bout against such a boxer as Mayweather.
The 40-year-old American is regarded as one of the greatest boxers of all time with an undefeated record of 49 fights before coming out of retirement to face McGregor.
“McConor put his dumba** in a position where he’s gonna get knocked out because this guy’s been doing this all his life since he was a baby,” Tyson added.
