Man U confirms Giggs as interim coach

Manchester United on Tuesday confirmed its midfielder and member of the coaching crew, Ryan Giggs, as the interim manager of the team.
This followed the sack, which the club described as departure, of Coach David Moyes on Tuesday morning.
“Following the departure of David Moyes as manager, Manchester United has announced that Ryan Giggs, the club’s most decorated player, will assume responsibility for the first team until a permanent appointment can be made,” a statement on Manchester United’s website said on Tuesday.
The statement added: “The club will make no further comment on this process until it is concluded.”
Giggs, 40, has been with the team since 1990.
