A man, Kazeem Mustapha, has been arrested for killing a 33-year-old apprentice, Afeez Oluwole, over N500.
The spokesman of the Lagos State Police Command, Bala Elkana, revealed this in a statement on Sunday.
Elkana said Rafiu Dauda, the boss of Oluwole, reported the development on February 25, 2020 at about 12:30pm Elemoro Police Station in Satellite Town, Lagos.
Dauda said Mustapha stabbed the apprentice on the right side of the chest with a broken bottle at Madoti Estate Fin-Niger, Satellite Town due to a minor misunderstanding over N500.
Oluwole was rushed to Holy Family Hospital, where he later died.
His corpse was deposited at the mortuary for postmortem examination.
The suspect has been arrested and will be charged to court, Elkana said.
