A 33-year-old man, Isiaka Audu, was on Wednesday arraigned in an Iyaganku Magistrates’ Court, Ibadan, for allegedly receiving stolen phones.
Audu, whose address was not provided, was charged with receiving stolen phones to which he pleaded not guilty.
The Prosecutor, ASP Amos Adewale, told the court that the defendant allegedly committed the offence on November 16, 2023, at about 7.00am, at Sabo area, Ibadan.
Adewale alleged that the defendant received four stolen phones from Femi Afolabi, knowing the same to have been stolen from the rightful owner, Hammed Makinde.
He said the offence contravened Section 427 of the Criminal Laws of Oyo State, 2000.

The Magistrate, Maruff Mudashiru, granted the defendant bail in the sum of N100, 000 with one reliable surety in like sum.
He adjourned the case until August 8, for hearing.
