A Family Court sitting at Iyaganku, Ibadan, on Thursday ordered that one Sola Oke, 18, be remanded in a correctional facility in Ibadan for allegedly raping a minor.
Oke, whose address was not provided, was charged with rape.
The Magistrate, Sherifat Adesina, did not take the plea of the defendant for want of jurisdiction.
She directed the police to return the case file to the Director of Public Prosecution (DPP) for legal advice.
Adesina adjourned the case until May 5 for mention.

The Prosecutor, Insp Gbemisola Adedeji, told the court that Oke allegedly committed the offence on March 5, at about 1.30pm at Oba Abass Secondary School area, Ibadan.
Adedeji alleged that the defendant had unlawful sexual intercourse with one 14-year-old girl (name withheld) without her consent.
She said the offence contravened Section 34 of the Oyo State Child Right’s Law, 2006.
