The crisis currently rocking the Nigeria Football Federation is far from being over as the loyalists of the ousted President of the body, Alhaji Aminu Maigari, are about to be booted out from the Glass House.
The Eagle Online exclusively gathered that another round of impeachment is being planned for next week to completely sanitanize the football house.
Competent sources hinted that some aggrieved board members, who were sidelined for eight months, felt Maigari’s men should also be fired. Our sources added that several rounds of meetings are ongoing outside the Glass House in Abuja to fine-tune the impeachment process.
The group dismissed Maigari on allegation of financial misappropriation, misapplication and maladministration.
The sacked NFF boss was accused of uncalled-for secrecy surrounding all financial dealings of the Federation and failure to call a meeting of the Executive Committee for the past eight months, during which so many weighty decisions on Nigerian football had been taken by a small cabal within the Board and a vote of no confidence was passed on the Bauchi State born football administrator.
