The Lagos State Ministry of Education on Thursday said it would introduce the Computer Based Testing mode for some primary six pupils seeking admission into its 15 model colleges in the 2015/2016 academic session.
Olayinka Oladunjoye, the Lagos State Commissioner for Education, said this in a statement signed by Jide Lawal, the spokesperson for the ministry.
Oladunjoye said the ministry had commenced the sale of admission forms and would close on April 3, 2015.
She said the screening test would be conducted in two versions – a Computer Based Test and the Paper Based Test.
The statement said: “There will be a computer based testing that is open to only about 20 to 30 interested candidates, that will like to participate in the pilot scheme.
“The regular Pencil Based Test is the usual pencil and computer answer sheet test.”
Oladunjoye said the screening test would hold on May 9 in all designated centres in the state.
According to the commissioner, the CBT will hold at the ICT/Computer Centre of the State Examinations Board, Agege on May 9.
The statement added: “The registration of candidates can be done through a customised CD that will be issued to candidates by the state examinations board, on the payment of N10,000 per candidate.
“Payment can be made at any branch of Fidelity Bank with Account No 5030000739, Agency Code 4280011 and Revenue Code 40200045; Skye Bank with Account No 1770602459, Agency Code 280011 and Revenue Code 40200045.
“The payment for admission forms can also be made at the FCMB with Account No 0135582205, Agency Code 4280011 and Revenue Code 40200045.”
Oladunjoye urged members of the public, including parents, guardians, head teachers, and owners of privately-owned primary schools in the state, to take note.
