The 12th edition of Arise Walk for Life became bigger this year despite many restriction due to the Coronavirus Disease.

People across the world harkened to the call of the delectable Convener of Arise Walk For Life, Dr. Siju Iluyomade, of Arise Women, in a bid to encourage exercises and improve their health status.

This year’s edition, which was held in clusters across many parts of the Country, instead of the regular convergence and walk as a whole, as usual attracted many dignitaries walking simultaneously in clusters to adhere to the COVID-19 protocols.

Tagged: #StayingAlive, the event held in the early hours of Saturday across many parts of the world.

It saw the Convener, Dr. Iluyomade, starting up her own cluster alongside the wife of the Governor of Ogun State, Bamidele Abiodun; former First Lady of Cross River State, Onari Duke; and wife of the Chairman of Daar Communication, Moji Dokpesi among others in front of St. Saviour School, Bourdillon Road, Ikoyi, Lagos down to the Ikoyi Bridge and environ.

Former Super Eagles stars such as Peter Rufai, Pastor Taribo West and Jonathan Akpoborire also teamed up with her to add more side attraction to the day.

In other parts of the state, wife of the Governor of Lagos State, Dr. Ibijoke Sanwo-Olu, and wife of the Deputy Governor, Oluremi Hamzat, joined the walk in another cluster, walking along Marina area of the State along with some wives of members of the State Cabinet.

Also joining the Walk was wife of the Kebbi State Governor, Dr. Zainab Bagudu, along her aides.

Minister for Women Affairs, Dame Pauline Tallen, also led a cluster in Abuja to Walk for Life as they also observed the COVID-19 protocol.

This edition, which preludes the yearly Arise Women Conference holding on October 31 both virtually and physically in the City of David Church Auditorium, Lagos, witnessed Arise Boat cruise to spice up the day.

Though the convener along alongside his ever supportive husband, Pastor Idowu Iluyomadel led the Bourdillon Cluster with other dignitaries, Arise Women Walk also took place in France, Philippines, America, UK, Mauritius, Banana Island and Sangotedo in Lagos State among many other cities.
