The Jigawa State Government on Thursday said it had approved N100 million for the renovation of the presidential wing of its Government House, Dutse.
Alhaji Bala Ibrahim, Commissioner for Information, Youth, Sports and Culture, disclosed this to the News Agency of Nigeria in Dutse
Ibrahim said the approval was given at the state’s Executive Council meeting, adding that the project was intended to provide a befitting structure for that part of the government house.
He disclosed that the council also ordered the revocation of four road contracts across the state for non-performance by the contractors.
The revoked contracts, according to him, included Gagarawa-Bosuwa Road, Kila-Budunga Road and Gwaram-Basirka Road.
Ibrahim said the council also directed all farmers who collected tractors on loan from the state government to pay back with immediate effect.
He said the council resolved that defaulters would be prosecuted.
