The Jigawa State Pilgrims Welfare Board has extended the deadline for the payment of Hajj fare to March 7, 2025.
The board’s spokesperson, Habibu Yusuf Babura, disclosed this in a statement released on Wednesday.
According to Babura, the Director-General of the Jigawa State Pilgrims Welfare Board, Ahamed Labbo, announced this on Wednesday during an inspection orientation for intending pilgrims across the state.
Labbo stated that the payment window will remain open for intending pilgrims until March 7, 2025, to allow the intending pilgrims adequate time to make payment.

“The board has remitted over N6 billion to the National Hajj Commission in respect of intending pilgrims from Jigawa State,” he stated.
Labbo urged staff and Local Government Hajj Zonal Officers to put in more effort while discharging their duties.
The director-general commended the Jigawa State Governor, Umar Namadi, for his commitment to the welfare of the state’s pilgrims.
Recall that the pilgrims’ board had earlier fixed 30th January as the deadline but extended it to February 15 for registration of intending pilgrims for Hajj 2025.
