Bayern Munich’s preparations for the coming Bundesliga match with Borussia Moenchengladbach have been hit by illness with several players missing training on Tuesday.
Goalkeepers Manuel Neuer and Sven Ulreich, and defender Mats Hummels were out with cold, while striker Robert Lewandowski and winger Franck Ribery have gastroenteritis, the Bundesliga champions said.
Bayern Munich did not say whether the quintet were doubts for Moenchengladbach.
With the exception of Hummels, all four played against Hertha Berlin last weekend.
Midfielders Thiago and Leon Goretzka trained individually, while wingers Arjen Robben and Corentin Tolisso continued their recoveries away from the group.
Coach Niko Kovac brought in six youth players to fill out the main training group.
Bayern Munich are away to Moenchengladbach on Tuesday and by kick-off could be six points behind leaders Borussia Dortmund, who travel to Augsburg on Friday.
