Ighalo wants Mikel at Watford

Odion Ighalo is hopeful that Watford will swoop on Chelsea to sign Nigeria international teammate, John Mikel Obi, in January.
The 27-year-old striker has spoken out ahead of next month’s transfer window as Hornets boss, Walter Mazzarri, has already intimated that he will be looking to beef up several areas of his current squad.
Ighalo feels that if the Italian is intending to bring in midfield reinforcements, then he should consider a move for Mikel who is currently out in the cold at Stamford Bridge.
The 29-year-old has not played so far this season under Blues boss Antonio Conte and is believed to be looking for a move away in January to secure first-team action elsewhere.
Ighalo said: “I will like it if Mikel join me at Watford.
“He is my captain at the national team. Apart from that he is a very good player, very talented.
“I have played with him and against him, he is a very good player. There is no team in the Premier League that will not want to have such a player.
“I am happy I have played with him so I will be very happy to have him in my team.”
