The Benue State Government has finally constituted a management board for Lobi Stars, with the Deputy Governor, Engineer Benson Abounu, as chairman, while former Sunshine Stars’ Executive Director, Mike Idoko, was named the vice chairman.
The Board members were announced on Wednesday in a statement by the state government.
Idoko replaces former Super Eagles striker, Dominic Iorfa, who had been in the saddle for 13 years before he stepped down at the end of last year.
Other members of the new board include a former chairman of the team, Terso Luga, whose tenure saw Lobi Stars win their only league title in 1999.
The coach who handled the team to win the league and the 2013 Federation Cup, Godwin Koko Uwua, is also staging a return as a board member and technical adviser, while another former international and only recently the General Manager of the team, Barnabas Imenger, also made the cut.
The names of the two other members – the club secretary and board member – were yet to be confirmed as at press time.
