Gov. Ahmed sacks commissioners, other appointees, government boards

The Kwara State Governor, Dr. Abdulfatah Ahmed, has announced the dissolution of the State Executive Council.
The SEC is made up of commissioners, some level of political appointees and top senior civil servants.
The dissolution of the SEC was announced by the Secretary to the State Government, Alhaji Isiaka Gold, in a statement on Monday.
Gold said the dissolution also affects Special Advisers, Senior Special Assistants, Special Assistants, Liaison Officers and Youth Employment Coordinators.
The dissolution also covers all boards of Government-owned companies, commissions, parastatals and organizations other than those of statutory status.
Gold said all Commissioners are advised to handover government properties in their custody to their permanent secretaries while heads of other MDAs must handover to the most senior officers in their establishment.
He added: “His Excellency, Governor Abdulfatah Ahmed expresses sincere appreciation to all the affected political office holders for their immeasurable contributions to the success of his administration in the last four years and wishes them success in their future endeavours. He also looks forward to a continued robust partnership to move the state forward.”
