The management of Giwa FC of Jos, Plateau State said on Friday that it would leave no stone unturned in clinching victory in its match against visiting Abia Warriors FC of Umuahia, Abia State on Sunday.
The match kicks off at 4pm at the Rwang Pam Stadium, Jos.
The club’s Media Officer, Yemi Matthew, said in a statement in Jos that the team was working hard to secure the three points at stake in the match.
Matthew said the club had put behind its disappointing 1-1 draw with visiting Kano Pillars on Wednesday to forge ahead.
He said: “The club has put behind it, the controversial 1-1 draw with Kano Pillars and the technical crew has been working very hard to bounce back.
“The Jos Elephants will not allow the draw to affect its match against Abia Warriors this weekend and will go for the maximum three points at stake.
“We intend to improve on the club’s position on the league table, the players are in high spirit for the encounter and are injury free.
“The Coach Abdullahi Biffo-tutored side trained well on Friday morning and is in very high spirit.”
The club called on its fans to come out en-mass and cheer it in its fourth match of the season.
The statement appealed to the fans to conduct themselves in a peaceful manner during the match.
