The Super Eagles will look to sharpen their claws ahead of next month’s vital World Cup qualifier with a friendly international against Jordan on Monday.
Nigeria are on the verge of earning their ticket to the 2014 Brazil spectacle after securing a 2-1 first leg win away to Ethiopia, leaving them in the driving seat heading into the November 16 return fixture in Calabar, Cross River State.
Stephen Keshi has already set out to keep his charges fresh, with a tricky fixture away to Al-Nashama, who have drawn their last three international matches 1-1, although one of them, a rematch against Uzbekistan in a World Cup qualifier, ended in Jordan winning 8-7 on penalties.
Jordan’s team, coached by former Egyptian striker, Hossam Hassan, have never qualified for World Cup finals.
Meanwhile, Super Eagles’ boss, Stephen Keshi, looks set to be without striker Brown Ideye, who picked up an injury while training in the build-up to the upcoming friendly.
The Big Boss also previously hinted he could be ready to recall the likes of Lukman Haruna, Gabriel Reuben and Sone Aluko as he looks to strengthen his options ahead of a possible World Cup finals appearance.
The match kicks off at 7pm inside the magnificent Amman International Stadium.
