Current African Champions, the Super Eagles, maintain their 47th spot in the latest FIFA ranking released from Zurich, Switzerland on Thursday.
The Stephen Keshi-led team last month dropped six places from 41 but has maintained its 47th position after playing out a 1-1 draw with the El Tri of Mexico.
Meanwhile, the Super Eagles’ group opponents at the World Cup, Argentina, remain third in the world, Bosnia Herzegovina dropped four places down to 21st in the world, while Iran also dropped four places down to 42nd position.
Nigeria is now ranked seventh on the continent behind Cote d’Ivoire, Algeria, Egypt, Cape Verde Islands, Ghana and Tunisia.
No African team made it to the top 10, which is occupied by Spain, Germany, Argentina, Portugal, Colombia, Uruguay, Switzerland, Italy, Brazil, and Belgium.
The next FIFA ranking will be out on April 10, 2014.
