The Federal Government has concluded plans to arraign notorious kidnapper, Chukwudumeme Onwuamadike, popularly known as Evans, on Wednesday.
Evans is to be arraigned at an Ikeja High Court in Lagos State following the conclusion of investigation by the police.
The police had obtained a court order to detain Evans for 90 days to complete its investigation.
The order was granted by the Federal High Court in Lagos State.
The first case against Evans is that of Donatus Dunu, whom he was said to have kidnapped and collected N150 million ransom from.
The Dunu case is one of the 14 against Evans and 14 of his gang members who have so far been arrested.
They are to face 14 substantive cases – 10 in Lagos State and four in Edo State – with 52 charges of multiple murders, armed robberies, kidnappings, unlawful possession of firearms and unlawful possession of ammunitions among others.
The cases were filed by the Force Legal Department and Lagos State Department of Public Prosecutions before the Lagos State High Court, Federal High Court and Edo State High Court in Benin.
